Football: US broadcaster Fox Sports has teamed up with virtual reality (VR) company LiveLike to offer near real-time highlights of the National Football League's (NFL) season-ending Super Bowl LI this weekend. Users will be able to choose from six cameras placed throughout Houston's NRG Stadium to watch 20 of the top plays from the game.
Horse racing: York Racecourse has confirmed that Dubai-based Al Basti Equiworld will sponsor the Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes in a three-year extension and expansion of its existing deal. The agreement sees the prize money for the race raised to a record UK£225,000 (US$284,000).
Rugby: Australian National Rugby League (NRL) outfit the Sydney Roosters have named Magic Glass as a new platinum partner. The glass repair, replacement and installation company will have its logo worn on both the chest and shorts of the team's playing kit.
Motorsports: Oil and lubricants provider Motul has signed up as the title sponsor of the 2017 Petit Le Mans, the ten-hour version of the noted endurance race. This year's Motul Petit Le Mans will take place from 4th to 7th October and is the final race of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
More motorsport: Nascar team JR Motorsports (JRM) have announced an extension to their partnership with Pinnacle Foods. The company's Armour brand will continue to sponsor JRM driver Elliot Sadler in four races in each of the next two Nascar Xfinity Series seasons.
Ice hockey: The city of Gangneung, South Korea is set to host the 2017 World Para Ice Hockey Championships between 11th and 20th April. The event will serve as both a test event and a qualifying tournament for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Paralympic Games.
Australian rules football: Australian Football League (AFL) star Rory Sloane has become a brand ambassador for Gameday Mouthguards. The Adelaide Crows player will design his own range of mouth guards for the company.
