Five-time Olympic gold medalist Sir Bradley Wiggins has signed with sport and entertainment group M&C Saatchi Merlin.
The talent agency will handle all commercial, broadcasting and management duties for Wiggins. He leaves XIX Entertainment with immediate effect.
M&C Saatchi Merlin has been successful in evolving the profiles of retired UK sportsmen - such as cricketer Andrew Flintoff and soccer player Jamie Redknapp - from athletes to broadcast personalities. Wiggins is currently competing on channel 4’s The Jump, a celebrity ski-jumping competition.
“I’m delighted to have joined the M&C Saatchi Merlin roster,” said Wiggins. “Having now retired, the reach into broadcasting and developing my own brand will be very important. With M&C Saatchi Merlin’s global network and their outstanding record of creating broadcast careers, it gives me huge confidence in their ability to deliver for me.”
Wiggins announced his retirement from professional cycling on 28th December 2016.
