Banking group Raiffeisen will remain as the main sponsor of the Swiss Football League for a further four years.
Under the terms of the renewal, the Swiss firm will continue to be the title sponsor of the Switzerland’s premier domestic soccer league until the end of the 2020/21 season. The financial terms of the deal were not revealed.
"Raiffeisen has been actively involved in sports, culture and society for many years and has long been a committed sponsor in soccer,” said Patrik Gisel, chief executive of Raiffeisen. “The sponsorship in the Super League is a valuable and emotional commitment to Raiffeisen.
“The most popular club sport in Switzerland has also been generously supported in the regions for many years. The roughly 270 Raiffeisen banks are committed to more than 500 soccer clubs in the field of grassroots and junior football. "
League leaders FC Basel have been crowned Swiss champions in each of the last seven seasons.
