Olympic triathlon medallists Alistair and Jonny Brownlee have signed a four-year partnership with British Olympic Association (BOA) sponsor Aldi.
As a result the British brothers will be the faces of the supermarket’s ‘Get Set to Eat Fresh’ campaign. Aldi’s collaboration with Team GB is an educational programme that aims to reach 1.2 million young people in the UK by 2020.
The financial terms of the deal were not revealed but Aldi has stated that it will support the brothers financially in the run-in to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, when elder brother Alistair will be the defending triathlon champion.
“We’re incredibly excited to be the official ambassadors of the Get Set to Eat Fresh programme, which we know will have a huge impact on young people’s healthy eating habits nationwide,” said Alistair Brownlee.
The Brownlee brothers have won medals at the past two Summer Games: Alistair twice taking home the gold and Jonny winning silver in London and Rio to boot.
